The joys of working from home...
Well, there is good and bad. The past week has been great because the weather has been OUTSTANDING and I get to work outside under the shade of a big pine tree. However, being disciplined enough to stop being a dad and actually work to earn a paycheck is not getting any easier. It is very nice to be able to make your own daily schedule, get the things done around the house in the morning, work for a few hours in the afternoon and then after the kids are in bed work a bit more. The problem is there are SO MANY things that need to be done around the house.
this past weekend I started ripping out the chainlink fence that seperates the back forty from the rest of the back yard. We are opening the whole thing up. I will get a tractor in here to scrape and level the 25,000 sq back yard so I can begin putting in the nice back yard I envision. we will be leaving the large pine trees, but most of the overgrown jungle will be ripped out to make room for a large play set (home built of course!) a LARGE grass area for wiffle ball playoffs and soccer scrimmages, a little fire pit and sitting area. the sheds will be moved or torn down and I will build one big one next to the propane tank. (the list just goes on and on)
The bad thing is that once the grass goes in my short track that I practice the finer points of riding wheelies and practice balance on the motorcycle will be gone. I wont be allowed to tear up the new grass... go figure...
Anyway, buff was not happy that I started this back yard project because I still have projects in the house to complete, still have baseboard to put in, electical wiring to install, bathrooms to gut and finish, a kitchen to gut and finish. etc etc.
However, I did finally get the last of the windows replaced! HAPPY! HAPPY! JOY! JOY!
